I just bought a 94 idi turbo diesel f350 five weeks ago. I have gained tremendous knowledge from reading this forum. Thanks for creating it and to the individuals who share their knowledge so freely . . . I need some help.
I need a cold air intake , a down pipe and an exhaust system. I have already had to return one intake because it was for a PS. I'm not doing heavy duty hauling or any thing like that. pretty much and everyday driver and a hunting truck. When ****'s going my way I'm hunting everyday.
I also need a shifter for the steering column, automatic. The end is broken off and today she started shifting funny and i noticed the overdrive light is blinking. I cant get it to stop. I look forward to hearing back from you.
The blinking light is indicating a transmission malfunction. If not rectified it will cause failure. The more power will likely have little affect on the tranny. Only going from about 180 flywheel hp to 250ish.
truck had been turned off and sitting for 2 hrs. i was going to drive more but obviously i was worried. I had to purge the fuel system so I went out and started truck. O/D light was off I let truck run and tried O/D button, cut on and off in park as normal, so i took her for a spin, seemed normal with light off. could this have been a short from where the end of the shifter has been dangling from the wires? tranny&truck has 143,000 I was told 170 was often a magic # for these transmissions.
