radiator hoses?

I’m having trouble finding the right radiator hoses for my '78 F250. When I bought the truck it had a flex hose for the top hose and some weird hose on the bottom that had an inner-tube zip-tied to it because it was pressed up against the cross member. I ordered a set of correct hoses for a 302 (my truck has a later year 351W) from LMC, but found out that they don’t fit the radiator outlets (I think both upper/lower are 2 inch, but have will measure to make sure). If the upper hose would fit the raditor, the location is fine. But the lower one is more problematic. Even if the lower one did fit, it too would be pushed down against the cross member, and I can’t imagine that is a good thing. Does anyone know what the original outlet sizes were supposed to be? I considered getting a Champion aluminum radiator since they are not too expensive, but they have 2” bottom outlets as well, and I think that’s the problem. Or if anyone can tell me the right hoses to use, that would be great. I will post some pictures this afternoon of what the set-up looks like.
If anyone could post a picture of their setup that would be a huge help.
Thanks,
Frank

Does a 351C water pump have the same style outlet as a 351W? I'm thinking of trying to use a 351C as a lower hose. My radiator has a 2" outlet on bottom. I tried using a standard L-shaped hose with a 2" outlet on both ends, but it looks like the power steering belt will cut through it (see picture). Grrr...

Maybe braided or stainless steel hose is the way to go?

Somebody else must be running a 351W in a dentside. What did you use for a bottom hose?

Gates and Good year both sell universal Flex hose I would use that if you could or browse the entire hose selection at your parts store and see what fits
