CAC@upper radiator hose

My upper radiator hose is in contact with the CAC pipe at the location indicated as POINT OF CONTACT. I notice a slight depression in the radiator hose from this contact, so I'm going to change the hose. Now for the questions:
  1. I haven't looked... Does the radiator have a drain plug so I can bleed down a bit before getting coolant on my driveway?
  2. If I also opt to also do the lower hose, how much coolant dose the system hold? (still haven't looked)
  3. Recycling coolant is still bad, right? I should buy new?
  4. Stock clamps are bad and regular hose clamps are OK. Is there a clamp that's better?

Didn't you listen to the guy on the presentation link that you posted on the topic of the Cooling System?

In addition to the upper hose, you need to check the lower hose.<O</O

My lower hose was on the verge of bursting at only 3-months after I purchased the truck. The hose rubs on the edge of the steering box. I used a 3" wide stainless clamp to avoid direct contact.<O</O

For the upper hose I used 3" wide rubber mat that I cut to fit around the entire hose and secured it with good quality zip ties.<O</O

I can't help you on the other questions; I posted a similar post on changing the coolant, but evidently no one has done this.<O</O

The black ones are a plastic type and the silver are metal.

Do envy me, man! Not my pipes... I too am aluminum of pipes. I "borrowed" the photo from page 33 of the 6.0 bible.

Man! I have to special order these both! Not a long wait, just surprising that no one (but Ford) has them in ready stock.
