epbv delete

i want to gut my turboes i have 2 so i can do both at the same time one is a spare but in good condition. I need to know what do i need to do to put a plug in the actuator hole do i need to remove the internals of the actuator ro just cut off the rod and reinstall the internals of the pedestal

i saw that thread i want to plug it to save money i dont have an issue with the back bolts so i can leave it as it is but i want to know how do i go about with the internals

There two aspect to the process ,the inner part ( flap ) that is best to remov turbo and just pound out the center pin and reinstall water jacket type plus or weld closed.Best to remove turbo pedastal anyway to replace o rings while in there.Then cut the valve body part and weld the holes on the aluminum pedastal.Once complete,you will be very happy.

i dont want to cut and weld the pedestal up i dont have issues with the bolts i just am planning put a plug where the rod goes thru the pedestal but what exactly am i supposed to do with the internals. do i cut the rod off the piston and replace it back inside or leave all the internals out

The approach would be just to cut the rod off the end of the piston and it just kind hangs there then.Seems like it would still be an air tight seal.Thats the most important aspect.There are air channels inside of the pedastal and when removing the previosly speficied pieces these are all patched so in essence the air will still flow with no restirction.Same performance,although the process is for a more streamlined appearance.getting back to the turbo flap,once that is removed,supposedly 20% air flow restriction has been removed.Easy stuff
