Front Passenger Inside Tread Feather
The weird thing is that I had new tires installed not too long ago. My wife took the truck in for this and I told them to perform a front alignment. The guy threw it on the alignment machine and everything was within spec. I had them grease the front end and check for any damaged joints and they said everything was tight, almost like new. I expected that because I rebuilt the axle, but did not replace the steering joints. I really expected them to say the steering joints were toast...
I've read on here somewhere, that tire shops can't truly align these trucks because of the camber sleeves. Is this truly the case? Would the camber sleeves be suspect for misalignment? Is Ford the only place that can perform a true alignment on these trucks?
I'm tempted to buy new leaf spring bushings and go for the gold all around, then have the thing fully aligned after. I'll probably regret this when the bolts start stripping, breaking or won't budge.
