need some help with speakers

First of all I know NOTHING about stero systems so that is why I am here. Second I did search and really didnt find what I am looking for so I apologize if this has been covered before. So please dont flame a newb.

Now for my issue. Both my front door speakers are shot. They are blown and sound like crap. I need to replace them so I want to get some advice on which speakers to get. I really have no idea what I am looking for. I would like to replace the rear extra cab door speakers as well. So can you guys tell me of some good replacement speakers that are inexpensive that would suit my needs??

Sean

Define inexpensive. What's the total you're willing to spend for this upgrade?

You can get a set of Infinity's on Crutchfield for $109/pair. The 6832cf's looks like they got pretty good reviews.

Anything will be better than stock, that's for sure.

I use Dayton Reference 6.5 mids in lots of my installs with a small Dayton tweeter & a crossover for the tweeters. They cost less than $100.00 & will blow the average 6.5 car speaker away. The local shops hate me. Their $300 sets of 6.5 mids can't match the daytons. American made & great quality. I have not had a set come back in the 2 years I've used them.

Crutchfield is great for research but they're the worst on pricing. Find what you want and then check here and here.

I just picked up a pair of Pioneer 6x8 3ways (TS-A6874R) at best buy last week and they sound awesome. They were on sale for $60. Install was a breeze, but I did have to the factory plugs off of the oe speakers. I wish I would have found the proper wire harness before I cut off the plugs ( I hate hacking the factory harness). You can find the speakers cheaper on amazon, but crutchfield includes all proper wiring harnesses and excellent installation instructions.
