Make sure you tell the parts counter folks that so they do not sell you a internally regulated one.
And while you are there get a spare voltage regulator to carry in the glove box, it has the 4 wire blade plug going to it. And yes on its above stated location.
The silver block on the dvrs side it the electronic ignition aka brain box. I carry a spare one of those too.
