I can't seem to figure out how to private message individuals. It is like I am blocked from seeing their information or from contacting them.
I figured it out in the for sale section but not in the regular forum. I usually just click on the username in other forums.
Can someone help me out here?

Look up towards the top of the page, there should be a blue banner with several options in it;
user cp, photo albums, FAQ, etc
Click on "user cp"
on the next page that comes up look at the columns on the left hand side of the page
click on "edit options"
On the page that comes up there is a section for private messaging
check the box "enable private messaging"
Now you should be good to go. On this same page is where you can select email notifications, etc.

It looks like your post count went from 27 to 23.
Did you boo boo in the content of some of your messages?
Once you get above 25 posts the private message selection should appear unless you have a strange javascript problem in your browser.
Also, I think the site software has changed. It's possible that it takes more than 25 now.....

It doesn't say anything about number of messages when it's enabled......

Thats odd.
When I pull it up there are several boxes,
The first is, "Log in & Privacy"
the next is, "Messaging & Notification" (this is where the check box for "enable private messaging is)
Then there is, "Thread Display Options"
Then, "Date & Time options"
etc, etc, etc

I don't know what to suggest now. In mine that area has numerous sub sections for;
Recieve Email
Default thread subscription mode
Private messaging
Visitor messaging
Buddy post notification
etc, etc, etc
I'm out of ideas

Nope, I've got two boxes for Buddy Post Notification also. The private messaging box should be third on the list right after "Default Thread Subscription Mode"
Try dropping a line to our moderator FoMoKo or to the tech guys. This is a puzzler
