It's been a couple days/weeks--just wanted to report that this was worth it!
The truck runs SO much better and actually sounds good.
MPG is still same but that's probably because I have a heavy foot!
However--I did add something new to the garage today!
Red one is the new one-- MotoGuzzi Griso 1100.
White one I've had for a year, 09 Aprilia RSVR 1000 with about $8,000 into it. The wheels are limited edition OZ NERA, there are only two left in the world and they retail for $5,000 a set.
I've considered getting a tuner and a custom tune from that mike guy. How does your Tow/Haul button work now that you have a custom tune installed? Does that button now switch your truck to Mike's tow tune? Or does it still use the stock mode for towing? Thanks in advance, and SWEEET bikes!

Brother, if I had your money I'd burn mine! BTW very nice!

No. The tow/haul works exactly like it does on the stock tune.
The PCM CANNOT be re-programmed with the engine running.
Yes, you want a towing tune (typically these run a little richer).
The tow haul button adds delay to the upshift, shortens the delay to downshift, and add engine braking (big plus when going down hills).
Since the both the SCT (and Edge) can program the TCM, I recommend you discuss your towing needs (weight, types of roads, etc.) with your tuner to make sure he matches the program to your needs.
In other words, call Mike Butler at 5startuning.com or Bill Cohron at Power Hungry Performance.
My old '05 had bad throttle lag til I tuned it and problem was solved. My '10 has trans shift lag that I hate, but throttle lag seems minimal. As has been a topic of discussion many, many times is the warranty issue with a programmer if the dealer service dept finds out. I'm all for programmers, but just putting it out there. I have noticed my truck is sluggish when the motor isn't warmed up, could be an ecm cold engine program to minimize engine wear.
