I have just seen my 3rd #4 Cyl misfire, after a car wash this time. suspicious of the coilpak, so I am oging to replace it. Can someone tell me looking at the front of the car, which one is #4?
Front most driver side on a V6, rearmost passenger side on a V8. Just be advised, not all misfires are ignition related. If possible try to run some tests or look for supporting evidence of the cause of the misfire.
You don't mention model year or engine, but you do mention coil packs. If by "coil pack" you mean "Coil on Plug (CoP), if one has been replaced with an aftermarket CoP, it may not seal well against the valve cover and may be allowing water to get in the plug well causing the misfire. It is also possible that you have a plug well seal that's leaking, but that would be less likely to only exhibit itself when exposed to moisture.
I'd suggest you swap the #4 CoP with another cylinder and see if the misfire follows the CoP or remains on the cylinder. If you want to kill two birds with one stone, you could swap the #4 spark plug with another cylinder as well then see if the misfire follows the CoP, the spark plug, or remains on cylinder #4.
while you have that coil pack out, be sure to inspect the rubber boots on the coil for cracks (youll see white) this would indicate that the spark itself isnt reaching the plug.
