The rear driver side door lock will not unlock even when I pull up on it manually. Nor will the door open by pulling the inside handle.
Also, the front passenger door and the hatchback door locks are sticky. Meaning that using the remote I may have to push the unlock button several time in order for the lock to disengage.
How to fix. The more explicit the detais of the proceedure the better because the online instructions suffer from a fatal flaw. They may tell you what to do but they dont tell you how to do it. they say something like remove this or that; but I can figure out for the life of me HOW to remove it.
Please advise,
Thank you
EDIT: almost forgot, the airbag light flashes when I first start the truck and then just stays on all the time.
your airbag light is not related to your door locks. but i would getr that checked ASAP. that light means in the event of an accident your airbag MAY NOT deploy. as for your door locks, get your self a philips screwdriver, a decent metal scraper, and some good 'ol american made WD-40. look behind the interior handle for a philips head screw and remove it, pull back the door panel trim arounf the outside and use the scraper to pop the retainer clips (dont worry, if you break one, replacing them is a snap) after you have all the retainer clips loos, pull the lower part of the panel outward, and then pull up. should come right off. pull away the plastic "barrier" and look for the lock mechanism near the rear of the door, and try to lube it up with the WD-40. hope this helps a bit. good luck buddy.
