Steering column help

I was getting ready to reinstall my steering column on my 62 uni, but I realized that I may not have everything I need. I bought this truck in baskets so, I'm not sure about everything. Can anyone tell me if there is a rubber pad that goes around the column where it bolts to the dash! I haven't had any luck finding them in the parts books I have, so I'm beginning to think I dreamed it up or something.

The only rubber part as it pertains to column installation is on the floorboard...theres nothing between the upper mast jacket and the dash spacer plate or the spacer plate and the dash itself to the best of my knowlege.

Well, thanks for the post! I'll go ahead and put it in with out searching any further. More confusing was the fact that I saw in the shop manual, the "C" series seemed to have one!

My '62 has a rubber pad that curves over the top of the column where it attaches to the dash, but it's not a uni. I haven't measured it or anything, but it looks about as wide as a narrow serpentine belt.

Yes, when I put it back in, it definitely needs a rubber pad in there. I found a schematic in a parts book that shows it, but it does not show a ford part #. Sure would like to get the replacement part instead of jury rigging it. This might be a job for NumberDummy

Check that, I guess I wanted 5, so that I could meet the minimum order requirement. If anyone else needs one, shoot me a pm and we'll work it out!
