dash removal

how do u remove the dash from a 77 f-250? do u have to remove the stering column and if u do how do u do that too?

There are 2 bolts that hold it to the side walls, one on each side and then 2 over the steering column and a series of screws across the top of the dash. That's all that holds the dash itself in. You'll need to make sure you get the gauge cluster and heater controls disconnected too.

do u have to take the steering column out? or what on the steering column do u have to remove?

The steering column does not have to be removed. My dash is out now and the column is still in.

You have to remove the collar piece thats under the steering coulmn. Theres 2 screws holding it on under the dash, 1 on each side, once you remove those the collar slides down and out.

If you remove the gauge cluster you'll see the 2 bolts over the steering column very clearly. But as stated the column itself can stay put.
