No throttle response

I have a 2007 F250 that has no throttle response when hot intermittently. No codes. I have replaced the EGR Valve last week when the EGR failed the EGR test. Looking at all of the input PIDs, I see no change except the EGRDC# pid goes from 30%-35% down to 0%. when this happens there is no throttle response. I cleaned the EBP & tube, cleaned the battery cables & grounds & reflashed the PCM, FICM & TCM. I'm assuming the truck is going into some sort of FMEM. When I mean I looked at all of the PIDs, I mean all of them. EGRVP, EBP, APP's, ICP, IPR, EOT, ECT, IAT 1-2, VGT, FICM powers, VREF, VPWR, everything. Now to top all of that off, I have a 2005 Excursion doing the same thing. Any help would be greaty appreciated.

what tool are you using to monuter the pids with?
are you a tech somewere or are these your personal trucks?
how exactly did the egr valve fail the test?
seeing that you seem to have some pid knowldge have you done a vvt test?

No they are both stock. I am using the IDS. The EGR was sticking & fell out of the parameters during the test. Also the VVT test passed. Which I thought it would, espically since it wasn't acting up at the time. I don't think this is a unison ring sticking. If it was I would get some throttle response. I don't see how that would cause the VGTDC to command 0%.

Cheezit, My mistake. I was confusing the VVT test with the Boost test. No I didn't do the VVT, I don't have a VMM. I am a Ford Tech with 24 years experience working at an independent shop. I do know what I'm doing. I'm just looking for some help with a problem.

ok when egrdc# is at 0 what is egrv above 1v? if so you are tossing carbon in the valve.
also keep in mind pcm will command egrdc# to 0 under hard accel anyway. this aids in spooling the turbo.

any smoke at any times?
koeo?
koer?
cmdtc?
all pass

You guys are way beyond me with all those acronyms and tests. My '04 has recently had similar issues....occasional dead pedal, random surging, low/rough idle. I took it into a local diesel shop. They pulled codes and ran tests and told me the EGR was dirty and the FICM was bad. $1400 later it was running worse than ever. I bought the Scanguage II to try to pull the codes myself. No codes logged. After the three episodes of "dead pedal" in one day, I was getting ready to hook it up to a buddy's truck to tow it home when I decided to push and pull on some wires myself. With the truck running and a pair of leather gloves on I started messing with wires and connectors. I found a sensor and connector with three wires coming from it, close to the glow plug control module (see 6.0 Bible-right side of engine) but on the same plate that the oil fill tube goes into. Wiggling these wires caused the engine to behave erratically, sort of like finding its ticklish spot. Tomorrow should see a new connector soldered on to the wiring harness.
Good luck wiggling wires!!

that would be the icp sensor on a late build engine that you are refering to. if that fails to correct the issue replace the sensor. also inspect the sensor for pins that have turned green in color as well as oil comming up from the center of the icp sensor. if eiter of those are found replace the sensor.

I removed the crimp connectors between the pigtail and the wiring harness and soldered the wires together with a little red RTV and heat shrink tubing over the top for weather resistance. It is running better than ever now. Phil Long Ford wanted $100 for a new pigtail (pigtail only. not sensor). I about laughed out loud as I handed it back to the guy at the parts counter. I did copy down the part # first and compared it to an identical part # on Amazon.com that sold for $25.

Love this forum!! Thanks guys!
