I'm having problems with 2000 f350 7.3. Had cam sensor code on. Takes truck about 10-15 secondsto start. Once warm, it goes until 2nd gear and chokes out and dies. What could it be, or could it be a couple of things.

Little lost here...
Did you replace the Cam sensor?
Have you checked the oil level?
Have you checked the glow plug relay?
You say once warm it goes into 2nd and dies? By itself or when you are driving it down the road?
I have not changed the cam sensor, but the code comes up. Due for an oil change, glow plug relay is about 3 months old, same with the glow plugs (all 8), truck USE to die when driving, now it has really rough idle and dies when applying throttle. Suppose to take it in this Monday to my mech. and he's doing a pressure test and so forth, "said it was the fuel pump over the phone". I have been reading up on these sort of issues, and alot of individuals have stated that a new pump didn't fix the problem. Also, now that you mention it. It has been leaving oil or fuel spots in the driveway.
