I'm thinking the long crank is due to air in the oil still. If it doesn't clear up ill have to look into that.

Just take a 20 mile drive on the freeway and it will clear it right up if its air.

OK. Finally have access to a computer. Here is a picture of the lift bar I made to reinstall the assembled engine. It is 3/4" rod with 2x2x3/16 tube welded to it. I slid the rod through the rings on both heads, looped the chain through the tube and used vise-grips to keep the bar from shifting. It worked perfect.

It appears I still have a oil leak. I drove it to get fuel, $100 ouch. Looked under the truck when fueling and noticed small puddle. On the way home the CEL would come on whenever I pushed the skinny pedal down little over halfway. Came home and pulled p1271. My scanner doesn't have any tech info on it. Plus a p0603, p0605. P0603 is due to keep alive memory error. Probably due to batteries being out for couple months? P0605 is due to DP-tuner. I found that the P1271 is cyl #1 injector issue? It runs fine. I haven't pushed it past 2000 rpm due to reading that about the rebuilt turbo.

Have a read of this bro. Thanks to Roland there is a great test procedure.
Turned out with this one to be a bad injector solenoid

Thanks. I hope is not a injector. They are reman stage 1's from Full Force. Ill check my connections from IDM to valve cover. Maybe pin corroded from sitting disconnected for couple months?

Also check the pins inside the connectors to make sure none are bent. Hopefully its just a loose wire.

Checked plugs they looked ok. Still tripping code. Ill ohm the injector and the wires when I get time. I still can't drive it far due to oil dripping down back of motor. The valley is dry and pulled inspection cover on and can see the rear seal is not leaking. Can see that there is a little oil around the turbo pedestal and block. So I will pull the turbo and pedestal and inspect.

How about swapping the solenoid on #1 to another and see if the code follows. If not then look at the IDM

Removed and replaced o-rings on turbo and pedestal. Ohmed the injector at the valve cover. Ohmed under 5 ohms. That was as far as I got on the injector. Took it for a test drive, checked at 1.5 miles not dripping. Checked at another 3 miles it was dripping from trans inspection cover. Rewashed the complete engine and let it dry. Ill check it again later.
