I have been having a problem with my 88 F-250 7.3 Diesel Starting up then reving up by itself and dieing. I have put on an injector leakage kit... didn't work, Cleaned out my fuel tank vents... didn't work, and I am not sure what to try next any ideas?

However what you describe would seem like a case of air intrusion. Most common cause is leaking fuel injector return lines but maybe that is what you replaced.
You should also check that the rubber sealing rings in the pipe from the filter to the injector pump are good and also between the lift pump and the filter. Make sure the filter is good and that there are no leaks from it.

 

Fuel filter/water separator/drain, are other areas to check out for air leakage...Didn't mean to repeat Lazy advice

 

I couldn't find the leak anywhere so i am adding an electrical fuel pump to take the air out of the system so that i don't have to crank the air out since it has standard mechanical fuel pump.
