E40D shift issues

This thread may belong in the clutch and Transmission section, sorry if thats the case.

I have an F250, 7.3 IDI with an E4OD transmission.

I have replaced the TPS and set it to 1.20v at idle position.

The Transmission was rebuilt a little over 1000 miles ago.

What I get is sometimes a normal shift at minimal throttle. Sometimes hard shifts. Kick down is rarely taking effect and it feels like its changing up, not down ( OD not engaging/disengaging maybe, I don't know ?? ), On heavier throttle it seems like there is confusion, changes can be slow ( as in the timing, hangs on high revv's for a while before shifting ). On harder throttle ( say 70% + ) I'll get such a jolt the tyres skip ( brief wheel spin ) during changes in 3rd and 4th.

I've tried adjusting the TPS, putting the old one back on, and switching the OD on and off but it makes no difference.

Any thoughts or pointers to other threads about this sort of ( I'd guess fairly common ) issue ?
