My E4OD (92 truck with 5.0 engine) shifts normally at light throttle but when adding more throttle it still shifts at the same points. In otherwords bogs down the engine in a higher gear rather than delay the shift point . This happens between the 3-4 shift. 1-2-3 and 4-O/D are fine. Could this be a misaligned TPS giving incorrect throttle position for shifting. My speed sensor seems to be OK since it shifts properly at light throttle and is consistent. I get a normal shift to 3rd at about 23 mph and 3rd to 4th at 30 mph. O/D kicks in at 40 mph. Also I find with the cruise control on, going up hills, sometimes the truck will not downshift until it has lost about 15 mph. Could this be related? Thanks for input.
