Pigtail hookup

I plan to tow a car trailer with my truck. There is already a plug on the bumper for a 6 round pin pigtail. The trailer I need to pull has a 7 flat pin connector pigtail.

So I buy a new connector to swap the 6 pin for the 7 pin. The wiring diagram says to put the red wire here, and the white wire there, and so on and so on. But, the wires going into the old connector don't match the colors spec'd on the new connector.

I crawl under the truck and follow the connector wires up to the truck wiring harness. It connects with three plugs to the harness. And, the connector has a "Ford" sticker and part number on it.

So my question is, does anyone know if Ford makes, or is there an Aftermarket company that makes a connector that I can plug into these three connectors on the wiring harness, that will end up with a 7 flat pin connector for the trailer?

Then, the trailer has electric brakes. So is there a way to mount a controller in the truck that will tap into the factory wiring harness so it will control through the current/new connectors? Or will I have to run new wires to the back of the truck?

Thanks.
