Thumbs up Holy downshift batman!

I was on my way home this afternoon and had passed under an overpass. Just on the other side of the overpass is a traffic signal with no warning signal under the overpass. I was cruising about 35 and I noticed real late that the light had turn red. I jumped on the brakes and felt it downshift all the way into first and what a blessing that was.

That massive downshift kept me out of the intersection. I'm liking this truck more every day.

It didn't downshift to first right off the bat - or it would have seriously over-revved the motor.

Not sure of the RPM's as I was more concerned about getting caught in the intersection with cars coming but it worked well anyway.

I know you have the EB and there have been some complaints on here about brakes (on all engines) but I've noticed, that regardless of the fact that the brakes are monster size - overall, the truck can stop on a dime. You can just tell it made to handle a load. I have yet to tow - keep looking for a reason to (considering renting a boat lol) - but I'm confident the truck would do just fine.

I really think Ford has outdone themselves (outside of a few minor hiccups - which happens anytime to any brand) on this 12th generation of Fords. I can't imagine what the 13th gen in 2013 (sounds unlucky haha!) will bring.

I must have missed the braking issues threads or ignored them?! I think these things stop on a dime especially considering how large they are...

Agreed! It was my fault that I nearly entered the intersection and Kudo's to the truck for slowing me down the way it did.
