Yes im sure, and yes that's the truck in question. The truck didn't originally come with a tach so i am installing an autometer, and just confused about how to get it properly calibrated. As for having 5.13's i hope not lol, 3.54 sounds better for sure.... does this truck have a rare rear axle or something?
The truck is turboed but thats it, the axle has never been changed. I'm not sure about the rpm, it has every single friggin option BUT a tach wtf? I do know it hits the governor at about 92mph!
you should have a tag on both front and rear axles with the ratio.
From what I can calculate with stock tires, it's 2131 revs per mile with 3.54's so at 60 it should be 2131rpm, to me it seems a little low on the revs but i just milk cows so my math my be off.
Axle code 73 is a DANA 70U 3.54:1 the "U" is a key part in that as it becomes an issue when buying parts and not a true DANA 70 but more of a hybrid axle with 60/70 parts and a smooth housing.
