so, im new to idi's just bought my fathers one today a 88 f350 xlt lariet 7.3 with a banks stinger turbo. started up fine moved it infront of the shop and took the passenger side battery off charged it put it back on after, and a wire coming off the silinoyd smoked the wire had a fuse safety thing on it so the wire just burnt itself through. got it spliced back together, you turn the key the wait to start light goes on glow plugs warm up but when you turn the key all the way to start it, it shuts off antilock brake light and a couple others go on and nothing else happens. i'm confused. screw driver across the two terminals of the silinoyd turns it over but it wont start even if the keys on? do i need a new silinoyd? anyone else had this happen? ideas?
I hate electrical, I am currently battling a little gremlin that runs from my tailights to the floodlights then back to taillights then turn and brake lights...its a joy.
