I'd have to look at mine to verify this, but IIRC Barney's '02 had a connector behind the hood insulation when we took it off. I'm thinking my '01 is the same since I haven't seen it. Makes me wonder.

Always just remove the bulb too.

I didn't look behind the insulation for a plug. I have to wonder how you take the hood off without a plug there?

My 2002 350 is the same as yours.No plug, just goes directly into harness.

That's strange. I think I remember seeing a plug on the part that the bulb fits into. I will look better when I get home.

I just pulled the socket loose from the hood. It still hangs there but stays off since its tilted down enough. If I want light, I give it a little push up and the lights on. Easy to do and no plugs or bulbs to pull.
