a/c clutch hub
i read a post by springer pop on the gap at hub , found mine to be big , trying to get hub off and i cannot get bolt out ,tried to activate hub to break nut loose but hub keeps spinning . any ideas going to havasu tomarrow........... i need my air

A screwdriver will work, also. Otherwise, you can go to the auto parts store and rent/buy the clutch holding tool.

I had same problem. What I did was position a screwdriver so that it caught on one of the hard rubber discs on the clutch and a bolt on the engine nearby to stop rotation of the clutch. This allowed me to get enough torque on the center clutch bolt to loosen it.
