Need help finding horn wiring under hood

Some previous owner of my truck decided it didn't need a horn. I've got no horn mounted to the firewall, and no idea which wire went to it. I know from my previous '79 that it came from somewhere on the passenger side, maybe on the inner fender, then went to the horn, which was mounted in front and a little inside of the battery tray on the radiator support, but I can't seem to find the wire.

Can anybody tell me what colour it should be, and what else might be in the bundle that it comes out of?

Incidentally, one thing I really hated on my previous '79 was that the single horn it had sounded more like it should belong to a Pinto than a full-size pickup. I grabbed a set from a Mercury Marquis in a junk yard and used that on my old truck. I'll probably do the same with this one.

Thanks for any help. Pics would be great.

What year is the truck? 73 to 77 have a horn relay, but 78-79 only have a horn relay if there is factory cruise control. Naturally, the wiring is different between the two configurations.

Just walked out to mine to verify for ya. On pass side down from the solenoid relay, you want to look for a longish wire (can reach the point on the rad core support) that is greenish blue with yellow stripes down eachside, the end will have a female spade connector in a black plastic shield.

www.fordification.net/tech/wiring.htm If you need it, scroll down the page and there is a complete factory wiring diagram for the '79.
