I just got done with down pipe litter box clean out for the cat, and removed that ebpv, ran like it was mising intermitantly, so i hook up my ae software and did a buzz test, all sounded sharp and snappy but one i believe its # seven not bad but alittle muffled best explains it, the other give away was after idle for about five minutes , it just plain burned your eyes, the scanner says they all passed the test,,,,not convinced.???? ALITTLE MORE HELP If you can??
Get it up to operating temperature and run a CCT. Might give you a better idea whats happening. Can't remember off the top of my head what the sequence is on the buzz test.
i just watched a video somewhere here on the forum,,, a link or something, and i think the guy said ,that the buzz test goes in order 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8. not sure either got to fined that tutorial again. thank you.
the buzz test worked well except for #7 was a little muffled, the cct was alittle odd, when i activated the test at idle after a couple seconds it acted like i shut the key off, for a fraction of a second, then back to normal, i guess what im trying to say is i would think it would try to kill each cylinder one at a time, this sounded like it killed 5 or six at once for that fraction of a second, i am using auto enginuity scan tool enhaced ford!!!, what do ya think???? How sould the contribution test work????
