Swung by buddy's shop... cranks at the machine shop, heads are under the knife as we speak.... im gonna order the set of Mad dog headers for it... next question... anyone here got a electric Water pump for a 429/460?
yea im going electric on this one... plan is absolutely nothing ran off the crank no alternator, powersteering, water pump or fan, gonna run 2 batterys (already was anyways) well powersteering is not required got electric fans already so just gotta find a electric water pump
I took my Moroso electric motor off my motor. Kept breaking the small pulley on the electric motor and throwing the belt with all the mud getting caught up in there. Spent the big money on a CSR pump now.
If you are interested in trying it (as long as you "mud proof" your engine compartment) it'll be fine. I have the brackets the original motor and a spare electric motor. All you will need is another pulley ($25) and a belt ($15).
