Thanks everybody for the complements. As I said it's a small project with a big impact. For anyone who is working on a truck and sometimes it feels like it's taking forever to get stuff done, just do something like this. Weather its a seat or finding the perfect bed It really gives you a sense of accomplishment and motivation to work on the next project.
Im restoring my truck as well steve. My bedroom has all these cool parts stored. My seat is in the barn.I called local restorer on seat a little while back,I was thinking of getting the seat done as well and putting that in the bedroom. In time my truck

You must be single! My wife would never tolerate truck parts in the house.
NBC-Steve that seat looks really nice!
Like lafermedavid my bedroom closet is used for parts storage, infact it has more Ford parts than clothes in it. Everyone says that I should get a sign that says "parts department" and put it over the door.
Dear NBC,
I'm thinking about getting mine done. Does it sit comfortable? Thanks/Robert
Yes it's actually quite comfy. They re-padded it and replaced a few worn springs. If I look underneath the seat I see new vinyl protecting the new seat foam. The factory didn't even do that. It looks good and it still has a new car smell.
It was a hard decision in the beginning but now I'm really glad I decided to reupholster the seat rather than replace it. I would highly recommend to anyone who is on the fence as to which way to go (Fix or Replace) to reupholster their seats.
