Cruise control/ABS issue

I have a 2006 6.0 F-250. On the interstate the other day, while in cruise control around 75 mph, the ABS light came on. After a short period of time. the truck experienced a few stumbles. Then the tach and speedo went to zero, and then back up. It stumbled a few more times, then I turned off the cruise control. After a period of time, the ABS light, went off, and there were no more stumbles. This happened twice, on 2 separate days, after about 2 hours of driving.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!Thanks!

Almost the same!

I have experianced almost the same... Driving at 75 vehicle ABS comes on and then the speedo and tach go wacky. ABS stays on until I shut the truck off.

Anyone have ideas?

First thing would be to pull the codes, but sounds like a VSS(Vehicle Speed Sensor) located on the top of the rear axle.

Sorry I missed this Pat. I believe Alan nailed it. All of that sounds like a VSS going or gone bad.
