if its no one thing its another. ok after pulling my fuel bowl recently i have a long crank issue. HPOP is full and oil is clean. fuel bowl is full of fuel. no fuel or oil in valley. no leaks i can see (and i have been doing a lot of looking lately). is their something in the FPR i prolly screwed up and allows fuel to drain back down?
thanks a bunch man. i took my fuel bowl back out last night after receving my package of o-rings. i re-sealed the bowl and got it cleaned up. i also took the FPR back apart. i really dont think i messed up the installation but i re-o-ringed it and cleaned it up as well. put it all back together and tried again. she still takes 10 seconds or so to start up. i am wondering if i messed up the FPR screen assembly somehow. either that or there is air in the fuel system now and i need to just run the truck and bleed the air off. this would make sense bc it only started after i took the fuel bowl off initially.
ok i drove the truck this weekend consecutively 15 miles or so (still with the oil leak and wiring issue) and the cranking seems to be getting better so i think i just need to work out the air. i just scared myself thinking i did something wrong.
NOOOOWWWWW it seems i have a fuel leak, lol. it just wont stop for me lately. i know it is coming from the large banjo bolt on the back of the fuel pump. not sure is there an o-ring or does it just need to be tightened? i havent had the patience to go work on it yet.

It has two washers, maybe with thightening it you solve you issue. good luck. If not possible the fuel pump or fuel hoses.
Like Jose says, no o-rings (one of the few things on this engine that does not use o-rings) just two brass washers. Not really a big deal to try to tighten it. Everybody has their own way of doing it with a different tool, but I just use an 1 1/4" combination wrench. Clearance is a bit tight, but it can be done with everything in place. Mine was seeping a bit again the other day, so I gave it a 1/4 turn and it seems to have stopped for now. Next time it's getting a new fuel pump, and new fuel hoses.
Bear in mind that the banjo bolt may very well be leaking, but it is also a possibility that your leak is coming from the pump itself, and it may be on its way out.
