Best place to buy factory service manual?

I checked ebay, i see some used ones. Ranging from $120-$200. I have an 08, and it seems the books are different for 09 and 10. Where is the best place to buy these books? and what should i expect to pay?

You can order the legit factory service manual CD from HELM inc for about $150. You want the CD, not a paper manual, with the CD you can print what you'll need for a job and not have to worry about if getting dirty, etc. The DVDs you may find on ebay are not legit, they are out of date dealer docs and you need to backdate your PC to get them to work.

You know, as good as a CD is, i really love the book, all my other service manuals are in books for other cars, i don't know why, but i prefer book form!

My point was not to work from the CD on a PC, but rather to print the relevant sections from the CD and take those prints out to the shop to do the work. Get them as grimy as you want and toss them when you're done. Best of both.

All Helm has for me is the glove box owners manual and a specification manual. The spec manual includes: Each book covers all specifications bumper to bumper, includes component locations, part numbers, tolerances, dimensions and torque specifications.

I'm looking for a book that breaks it down by engine, differential, electrical, etc etc w/ diagrams and such.

I bought one of these. $170 isn't exactly cheap, but it's not too bad in terms of content. It has all of the schematics, electricals, sensors, CEL codes, diagnostics, etc and a lot of theory of ops. I think there's an option to buy online access to the same docs for a few days/weeks/month for lot cheaper.

Helm Incorporated: Search Results

I copied the CD into my harddrive and mounted it as a virtual drive. I keep the CD somewhere safe.

You could do what I had done while I was in the Army. I printed the entire thing. Put it document protectors and a 3 ring binder.

Hard at the time to take CD's downrange and shot bullets at the same time.

I prefer hard copies as well.

No matter which way you go, Helm, Inc. is the place. I typically just buy a 1 month online subscription when I need it and print off the pages. 19.95 for 1 month.
