Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but I've searched and mostly found info on repairing a FICM...
I apparently did a crappy job repairing my FICM , so I had a ex-Ford Diesel mechanic "re-do" it. Ran for a couple hours, sucked down a ton of fuel, and crapped out on me again. He won't honor his "warranty" to repair it again, stating that the unit is fried and I need a half shell. Not happy about his service...
Fed up with all this, about to go get a whole new FICM unit from the dealership for $750. But I'm not sure what happens after that... something has to be reprogrammed? Do they need the truck for that? What more is that gonna cost me???
So frustrated.... can someone please give me some direction?
