Finally got the high idle mod done on my truck. i love it! I was wondering does anyone know the rate of fuel consumption at the 1200 RPMs?
In addition is there any dangers to using the high idle mod for long periods of time? Reason I ask because on one of my older vehicles with a manual choke the manual states if the choke is on for too long with the engine running high it could overheat. I know the this an apples to oranges comparison, but just want to make sure I dont cause any necessary damage. I will be using if for a good length of time...
It's somewhere around a gallon per hour. I think at regular idle it uses .7 gallons per hour so its a little more than that. You will be fine leaving it on for extended periods of time in cold weather, but on those 100 degree days I'm afraid to use mine too long. Probably wouldn't hurt it but I'm too broke to take any chances lol

These are the numbers I have, but quite a few people have disagreed and said it is .5 gpm or less at regular idle. I guess one of these days I need to test it out.
