I've got a 94 E-150 clubwagon. If you rev it up in park the engine revs up very responsivly, then when you let off the gas the engine drops below idle almost dying, and then back up to normal idle. When it almost dies the volt meter drops and comes back up. Also, when you put it into reverse to back in the driveway the engine almost dies again then catches up. When it catches up you can see a puff of black smoke. What is the deal with it. Can it be the catalytic converter?
P.S. this has only been happening since we had NAPA put a long block in.
