Removing speedo cable?
Yes, you sqeeze the flat side of the clip and pull to disengage it. It is difficult to squeeze it enough. I had to use a pair of pliers to get mine to come off, it did and it
was OK and went back on OK.

One of the tricks is try to not pull on the cable while squeezing the clip. It's hard not to pull on the cable, since you need to pull the cluster out to get your hand behind it, but if you can get down around the floorboard after you have the cluster loose, and push up on the cable where it comes through the firewall, that will sometimes give you some slack and take the pull off the cable so it releases easier.
If you disconnect the large wiring connector first, it gives you a little more room to move the cluster around.
You could always disconnect the cable from the trans (one bolt and it pulls right out) and that'd give you a ton of slack...nothing special about reconnecting it, it's the reverse of removal.

It worked fine, the tach dash plugged right in and fired up. I didn't notice before, but it has a trip meter, too. I wasn't sure if that was another year option? Anyone need a gauge pack dash with tach delete?
