My boss was just giving me hell the other day , I had to go out to the job site and get another one of those junk *** Ford 6.0 running . He was screaming he was going to be replacing them with Toy. Tundras. When I asked the driver what the problem was he said that the battery sign on the dash had came on about a hundred miles from the job and that when he got back in it to leave it would not crank!! I said Imagine That!! You would not believe some of the things I see, and then they blame it on Ford..... BUT I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE A TOY. TUNDRA PULL 20 too 25 thousand lb. trailer everyday, and have the oil changed every 15 to 20 thousand miles and get a new air filter if they happen to bring it by the shop. And we wonder why some things keep costing us more and more.

And in a couple of years he'll be looking for work when everything has moved to China/India. Yeah, the springs under my truck; wiring harness and several other parts of my truck were made in Mexico...but my truck was Built in the USA along with most of the big components. Say what you what about unions, but every time a manufacturing job leaves the country we loose 10-15 other jobs that were supporting that one manufacturing job (truck driver that delivered the raw materials, another that hauled the finished product, the guy in the warehouse were it was stored until you bought it, the stock boy/girl that help you load it, etc...etc). Think about that the next time your looking to replace your refrigerator, tires, car/truck/suv, furniture or any household item.
Sorry, guys I'll get off my soapbox. Just let me know when your boss gets those Toys...I want to see if those toys could possibly keep up with any SuperDuty. I have my doubts.
PS: Yes, I know Tundras are assembled in San Antonino; but how much of those trucks are actually USA/Canada sourced items?
Ok, as for the floors being rotted, no these floors are not rotted, the floor in my old 97 Dodge finally rotted. As for the motor, someone brought up a good point, I shouldnt blame the motor, its all the parts associated with the 6.0 that makes it problematic. Im 48 not 18, Ive owned a lot of vehicles and have built a few in my day, my 66 Mustang Shelby included, im not some moron that runs a vehicle into the ground and then asks why me.. Also Bud said he did a search and saw no posts from me asking for help, well Bud this is pool season, a time when I need my trucks and if you did your homework you would also see that most of my posts are during the winter months, I dont have time to constantly work on my trucks and not go out to work, also what would posting asking for help do. This is a great resource for owners, used it and posted help when i could, but unless someone is gonna show up and fix my trucks, i didnt have the time to do so. As far as the trucks being for sale, I have 4 months lefts of my season, Im in NJ and they will be up for sale after that 4 months. Ill be honest, I think im just gonna trade them in, I dont want to have it on my head when someone buys them, I couldnt do that..
Funny how all the pool contractors out here in Az run fords exclusively and our pool season is 12 months long, I only know this because my bro-in law owns a large pool service and pool plumbing operation 12 trucks total all but 1 fords the other is a Nissan, and it's always broken....lol
Sorry Mark, Both trucks were purchased brand new, 2 weeks apart, Actually the lease was up on my Chevy 3500 CC with Plumbers body, I bought one and then turned in the Chevy and picked up the second one. And before everyone says anything, I would have bought out the Chevy but it was bad on gas and I thought I would save money with the diesels, but I was badly mistaken... And im really not concerned with what GEARLOOSE has to say, unless anyone here has had the problems with the trucks that I have had then they really can say anything, I really hope none of you have these problems, As for the guy with the bro in law in the pool business, I would love to see how many of his fleet is the 6.0 diesels.
ball joint issues are common on all of fords superdutys, this includes vans. it a knowen and a bit of reasurch would have paid off here.
a/c compressiors there was a pcm update for that concern.
how much of this stuff was that failed 2x was repalced with factory equipment?
what are the enigne hours on the units in question?
did the parts fail with in the 12/12 warranty period?

My dad's 2008 HD Silverado just got towed last week. Blown out transfer case.
Tech at the dealer wasn't surprised at all. Says he's seen many.
My point is that these are complex machines and things wear out.
Want a dodge? My neighbors dodge just got it's SECOND tranny installed a month after the rear differential was replaced.
Passed a broken down Tundra on the side of the road a couple weeks ago.
