I have a 2005 F350 lariat automatic diesel with climate control. Randomly, yet regularly, when i press the brake the fan motor stops for a second and then restarts. It will do it several times a day and I cant reproduce it on command. It always just blips the fan for a second and then it resumes.
Any ideas what the cause may be? I'm not convinced inertia or movement has a direct correlation to it. I never notice it when cruising.
Are you sure its the fan and not the door inside the A/C box swinging?
You might have a bad check valve in the heater contorler vacuum tank. brake use vacuum thus might steal away from the a/c tank.
It is the fan stopping only, climate control stays on. I did jiggle the harnesses and was able to identify a bad connection in the vicinity of the fan. Stopped doing it before I could figure out where though......
