Why is it always me?
Was 1953 Deluxe Cab really different? It was Ford's 50 anniversary...

Seems to me the parts catalogs all break on 53... yeah I know they switched from F1 to F100, last year for the flathead 8...

but it seems to be that everything I've got to search for is "different"... special... AND more expensive.

Why does even my glove box have to be different? My glove box has a larger hole where the "****" goes... Only a few trucks had a locking glove box, which apparently mine did....
No one is making the locking **** today...

If anyone here has one they aren't using..... :0

My wiring harness costs more cause I'm sticking with 6v... etc. etc.

i don't really know what it looks like but on a 51/52 5 star it had a locking glovebox and beleive it or not you can go to lowes and get a cabinet lock like on a gun cabinet and it will work. MAYBE THE SAME GO'S FOR YOURS.

Hey Dale, do you have any info on the locks, like brand name or part number, that you you used? I have a few glove box doors that I need locks for. Thanks.

I've used VW locking glove box ***** before. Basically the samething.

Thought I would post some photos of the lock on a glovebox (at least what they have on a 1954, not for sale). Have you thought of switch the glove box door to a non-locking? There are a lot of those around fairly cheap. (I have 6 of them as we speak, lol). Good luck.
