I just got a new cd player with an Ipod hook up in the glove box, and would like to lock my glove box to protect my ipod. Do I need a different key for it, because my ignition key doesn't seem to fit? Or could my lock just be broken?
Mine in sig, has a different key for the ignition (square with plastic cover), different key for the door (just plain square metal) and different key for the glove box (oval metal).
So if yours is the same as mine then you will need an oval key for the glove box, because my oval key is the only one left that says FORD on it.

leaving your ipod anywhere inside your truck, locked or not, is not really protecting it.
15 seconds is all a thief would need, if that.
Yeah, you are right. The whole lock mechanism is held together by plastic, and not much of it. You would probably be better hiding it under a floor mat or something... Locks only keep honest people honest.
this stuff may slow them down enough to need 60 seconds.
Just because most criminals (and just about everybody else) can pick a lock doesn't mean that you leave your front door unlocked, leave the door to your gun safe open with a sign that says "please take one" and park your truck down town with the windows rolled down and throw the keys on the dash with a little piece of paper folded into thirds (like in a triangular prism sorta fashion) that says "Screw it! Just take the whole damn thing!"
