start up times

start up times

i was wondering if this is normal or not.the cold start time seems kinda long

cold start 2.7sec
warm start 1.5 sec
hot start .8 sec

cold start isnt realy cold since its 97*f outside
warm start is after it sits for about 1-2hrs same ambient
hot start is restart within minutes of shut down

My cold start varies but they all seem fairly consistent with my truck.

My cold,warm, and hot start...

Usually by time I can let go of the key from cranking it's running.

Turn the key for half a second and it's running.

doesnt the sg2 show you ficm voltage. im planning to get one this weekend or should i check manualy

Get the SGII. You can watch FICM voltages with it.

Here are the xgauges for the FICM voltages....

FICM Vehicle Power (Volts) (Should be 12 Volts, should not drop below 10.25 for more than 60 seconds, or 9.0 for 4 seconds. TSB 09-24-03)

FICM Main Power (Volts) (Should be 47-48) Your FMP should never dip below 45. If it does, your FICM is toast and needs repaired or replaced.
