I doubt you will find it there but it may be helpful to find some threads here that talk about removing the steering wheel (and replacing it). That info might give you the detail you need.
Haynes Manuals BARELY cover the make, year, and model....Let along something actually usefull...
Kevin-Is it the Shifter arm ITSELF that is sloppy?
THe one on my '94 broke off one day, randomly.....And its a simple thing on the inside after you look at it.....
I've seen a couple threads on here about adjusting them a bit to tighten everything back up...
Last fall someone tried to steal it and we think they tried to get it out of Park without the key. Since then, it usually passes up reverse and goes to neutral. I can't think of anything else that would be loose underneath, but it doesn't feel like the shifter itself will fall off or anything, it's just a pain to find the right gear if that makes sense.

Well...that's what I was afraid of, and the reason I haven't messed with it yet. I don't care much for pulling steering wheels. Oh well, guess I don't have much choice.
