Battery Light problem

Hey guys I have a 2003 f-350 super duty 6.0L. Recently the battery has been coming on, I put a new pig tail on (the one on top on the alternator), that did not help so I put a new alternator in. The light stayed off for a day or so then kept coming on again, if I would jiggle the pig tail the light would turn off. But now no matter what I do the light still stays on. Sorry please help me.

Thanks

Have your batteries load tested. If they are failing they will take a new alternator out very quickly but may still start your truck.

IMHO--your "new" alternator is still bad if the "I" circuit is good. What brand did you use?

I bought the autozone brand, and when the alternator worked i had the batteries tested and they said they were fine.

Have you tested the voltage with a meter and truck running? A battery light means it's not charging. Either the "I" ciruit that goes from the alternator to the dash cluster is bad, the dash cluster is bad, or the alternator is bad. Even "new" parts can be bad.

Did you have the new alternator tested at someplace different than Vatozone??? It's possibly just a bad "new" piece.
