1973 100 2wd with an as yet unidentified 351 Cleveland 4v ahead of a C6. More fun than I thought. Oil plug sits just touching frame. Not good. I was out back scrounging parts from a 1974 4wd. Don't ya know? I found out it has a rear sump oil pan! Very good thing, I think. It's a 351m/400 engine. Should fit, right?
Dowel pins. What dowel pins? One is munged, the other is missing. Can I fabricate them? I have half inch cold rolled steel in 1" and 1 1/4" lengths. Taper the ends and that should work. Is there any reason to use stronger material? These would be free. Replacements are $20+ with shipping added.
Should this truck burn premium or an octane booster?
