I have a 2011 F350 DRW, 6.7 diesel Lariat with Chrome package and FX4 packages.

While cleaning the truck today, I noticed that the huge Ford logo on the grill, had, what I thought, was a clear protective cover over the whole logo. It looked like the clear film that comes on new glossy parts of electronics, or on the screen of a cell phone or something. I thought this because, there were bubbles on the edges of the left and right ends of the oval. I peeled the bubbled part off thinking that the whole cover would come off, but now I don't think it was a removable clear cover, because the clear film just broke off and now there is a rough edge of the clear coating. I am hoping that Ford will replace the logo. It is very minor, but I paid extra for the chrome package. Has anyone noticed something like this on their 2011 grill? I imagine the logo plate is the same on all grills, not just ones with the chrome package.

 

Its a common problem. The emblems have always had issues when exposed to heat and just over time..

 

Thanks, this is my 4th F series since 96. I either never noticed it before, or it just did not happen to the others. I also never kept them as clean as this one. I just love this truck, and since I don't drive it everyday I keep it in good shape.

Yep, same with the side emblems, they just keep makin' em cheaper and cheaper. My 05 looks like crap while my 01 still looks perfect.

 

My 07 is like this too. Cheapest I've found a new one is 30 or 40 bucks so I'll live with it for now
