EGR delete
I just put in the H&S mini maxx tunner with dpf delete, 4" striaght pipe from down pipe back and a S&B intake. Was wondering if a guy should also do the EGR delete. Does this improve anything. What will I gain or lose if I do this. I use my truck for work in the oil patch and it pretty much runs all day. Any info would be great.

I had an Edge Race tuner on mine and went to an H&S Black Maxx specifically so I could delete my EGR. What I've notice is an appreciable power gain when the Black Maxx is set on Hot. I run it on mild now 100% of the time. The truck ran 208 to 212 degrees before the egr delete, it now runs 198-202 always. I also noticed a mpg increase. Using the lie-o-meter prior to the EGR delete and using the Edge I averaged 18-19, now it's reading 20.5. I haven't towed the camper with it yet but I do tow my race car on an open hauler, and I am very happy.
