I'm wanting to know what would be the best option for a gas tank when running a 1993 fuel injected 5.0. I would like to use a stock tank out of another vehicle. building on a budget sucks.

I put in a 1973 Mustang tank in the back of my truck. If you bend the pump(1995 Mustang) framework slightly , the sock will sit just off of the bottom of the tank. Then there's another hole in the back and I put in a fuel fill hose from a Sunbeam Tiger. The float/sender from a slightly earlier Mustang then goes in the side. My only question is if it will interface with my gauge. I think the whole set-up would go less than $300 (all new parts). I know that's not cheap, but that's what I have.

Cool, the motor I have planned for my 56 is outta of a 93 Cougar has well. I am running a Chevy Van gas tank. See my photos in my gallery

bought a new `70 mustang tank and installed the fuel pump and components from a `89 crown vic, if you do a search you should find the thread i made about how i did the mod
