fuel injection

What do I need to install a fuel injected 5.0 in my 72 F100 4x4? Is there a stand alone modular (computer)?

Not that i'm aware of. Everyone like this I've read got the PCM and all wiring out of a donor vehicle. Got a wiring schematic for that vehicle. Then removed all the wires not necessary. One resent thread the guy got his stuff out of a crown Vic. Including the instrument cluster. Which he mounted in the factory truck dash with minor adapting. Use the search engine at the top of this screen. You can probably find that thread.

Have you considered a 5.8 out of a 90s Bronco?... they're usually less costly, more complete, and have extra cubes to boot.

The easiest is to go with a standalone system like Megasquirt.

Not the cheapest, but the simplest and most tunable.

I'm running a 91 5.0 HO out of a Mustang along with the compete (modified) wiring harness and 9AL ECU. I scored a 67k mile engine with a B cam, complete wiring harness and EECIV ECU for $350 off of craigslist.

There is a ton of information on the web on what/how to do it. It's pretty straight forward but time consuming. I chose that route because it was cheap and I have plenty of time but limited funds.

What's nice about EECIV is that it's self tuning (MAF SYSTEM) and you can add mods as you go.
