OK, Replaced cps still nothing bought 2 new batteries. After I installed them and tried to start the glow plug relay started smoking wires coming off are real hot. Any Idea????

(sorry, I took a nap).....OK...Is there smoke coming from the exhaust? Is it cranking fast enough? Can you troubleshoot while you are jumping it (to make sure the batteries are up to snuff)?

Test the IDM by exchanging with a good one OR take it off and shake to listen for water but that is not a real "test" Normally when they go bad it is do to water that condensates in it and you can hear it when you shake it.
What did we say about the smoke while cranking?

Really need a scanner on it to see icp pressure while cranking, and to see if you have any codes related to idm, ipr, or whatever.

I had to give up for the nite. Moving my son to Lubbock, Tx.
I live just north of Fort Worth, Texas west of Dallas 45 min. It's been 103+ here lately. I don't know if it would have water in the IDM, but I've seen stranger things. Lol

Fuel lines clear. There is no smoke coming out of the tail pipe while cracking. Put a tire gauge on the schrader valve and fuel came out but no pressure reading. Tire gauge cheap!! going to find a round gauge maybe liquid filled gauge for better reading. Fires fast and hard just sounds like its not getting fuel. Front cylinders seem to ping when I listen while my wife turns it over. Anyone know if I can "ohm" the ipr, icp?

Is the fuel bowl full? fuel pump? EMPTY TANK????? not the first empty tank we have trouble shot, lol

I've put fuel in both tanks. Filled the fuel bowl. I really believe it maybe the ipr. I don't want to throw 350.00 at it until I can check it. I just don't know how. Ohm, current check????

Don't mean to beat a dead horse, but can you get the codes read? IMO you're going to be throwing parts at it without a good starting point. As I mentioned in #22.
