started smoking BLACK
on the drive home yesterday noticed when i would take from a stop i am getting quite a bit of smoke. i am only in 60E not towing not racing just normal driving. never noticed that much smoke
,even in 120R. what could be the cause????

thanks for the reply.
i will have to try some different settings. i got paranoid to drive it, and the weather is only going to be 105 today so i drove the ghia. how big of an issue is a o-ring thanks

Changing injector o-rings is a relatively simple procedure, you'll have to remove the injectors though. If you've never done it before then you should plan about 4 hours for the entire R&R process. Of course, we aren't sure what the issue is just yet...I was just throwing out a guess.

My truck has been smoking a little lately too, (black) but it has gotten very humid and hot here, and that seems to be the only reason I can pinpoint.

Mine smokes a lot and the egts will jump sometimes. It happens when I step on the pedal and I'm at a crusing speed. I have major boost leaks, so thats why causes mine.

well i furged out what the black smoke issue was on take off. i got lucky, it was red hose for the waste gate for some reason it came off. guess i should check things over real good before freaking out. thank you for your replys
